Runkeeper Top Ten iPhone App

Runkeeper is a cool app for the iPhone and web site, I featured it recently in a post right here on this blog.  I think these Boston guys have done a great job leveraging the GPS capability, function and community building that is possible with the iPhone.
Just heard today that RunKeeper was named a Top [...]

Internet And Marketing $28B Industry To New England

It is great to learn that even in this troubled economy that an industry near and dear to my heart, Internet & Marketing,  accounted for $28B in gross domestic product last year across New England.  In addition, the sector covers 2,100 companies employing a collective 69,000 people.  This is impressive.
What is even more impressive is [...]

What a week in the smart phone market.
The Palm Pre on sale Saturday and the excitement was iPhone-like.  Functionality looked great.  Nothing revolutionary but a great looking smart phone.  One little problem…only nineteen applications though.  What?
The new iPhones were announced yesterday at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.  Some new functionality like video, more [...]

Check out the counter on Apple.com that is keeping running total of the number of applications downloaded from the Apple App Store.  Wow.
Pandora Internet Radio, a “cool site” I posted about yesterday is on the Top 20 App list.  I am telling you Pandora is great on the PC…but very cool for the iPhone.

Our Craftster site is the coolest place on the web for indie crafts.  The indie and (do-it-yourself) movements are really advancing these days.
Crafting is big business.  The Craft and Hobby Association reported that in 2007, craft sales in 39 categories reached nearly $32 billion, and nearly 57 percent of U.S. households engage in crafting.  You [...]

Skittles.Com New Social Site Is Shuttered

Earlier this week I posted about Skittles new social site. The new Skittles.com isn’t so much a website as an app pointing visitors elsewhere online where Skittles material — official or not — is hosted.  Skittles is tapping into the social media ecosystem about all things Skittles really leveraging Twitter.  In doing this Skittles was [...]

Human Billboards Still Create Buzz

Back in 2003 I led several innovative marketing campaigns for Dunkin Donuts and Reebok.  Two of these campaigns involved human billboards.  I think I can say these were the two first widely covered human billboard campaigns.
The Dunkin Donuts human billboard was staged at the NCAA March Madness outside and inside the then Fleet Center in [...]

iPhone + Kindle: Uniting Two Stars Today

Amazon has launched the Kindle application on the iPhone (and iTouch) today.  I know this for sure as I already downloaded it first thing this morning.  What a great way to start the day!
All 240,000-plus titles are available on the smaller devices which is nice.  What I think is really great though is that Amazon [...]
