Welcome to my blog, where I share my experiences, views and information on many topics. I am an entrepreneur, husband, father, coach, teacher and enthusiast for many things including politics, sports, outdoors, cooking and more. I like to lead an active life and I love to cycle, ski, golf, hike, boat and coach sports.
As an entrepreneur I have been involved with many emerging companies. Currently, I am the CEO of Swaptree, a Boston based company that has established a leadership position with this new form of social commerce. Prior to joining Swaptree, I founded and served as President and COO of NameMedia, Inc., an online media and commerce company that owns one of the largest domain portfolios in the world. I am committed to helping build a vibrant ecosystem for entrepreneurs in Boston and I am involved as a mentor in the Tech Stars and 12×12 programs. I have also advised several ventures that include Oneforty, Adtuitive (acquired by ETSY) and others. I started my work on the Internet as an executive at Lycos where I served in many roles that included Vice President of eCommerce and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development.
I believe that we all have an opportunity to learn from each other whether we agree or not. Blogs are great ways to communicate and share and I will dedicate these pages to do just this on this blog. Stimulating dialogue and discussion is what it is all about in this world. It makes us think. It helps us understand each other. It can help make the world better. It is a tall order but that is what my goal is with this blog.
