It was a strange Halloween in New England.  Many communities had to postpone “Trick or Treat” night due to the weekend snow storm and power outages.  Despite the devastating storm that ripped through the region just two days ago, it was a mild evening to be outside if there were festivities where you lived.

We were glad to make it out.  The Bennett family had a record haul on Halloween 2011.

We have been taking this survey for years now and it is interesting to see the popularity of some brands holding year to year.  Just as in prior years Kit Kat, Snickers, Three Muskateer, and Milky Way were in the top four.  Kit Kat again takes top honors with 20% “share of the pillow case.”

This year was marked by a wide distribution of many brands though.  This was a surprising development but it is great to get a nice selection.

A disappointment of was Nestle Crunch falling way off.   One of my favorites.
