“Feast” Of Innovation And Ideas

We are so pleased to be part of the The Feast Conference this year in New York.  I had heard of The Feast in the past and it was described as a hybrid of TED and SXSW.  That sounded pretty cool to me.

feast-logoThe Feast organizers describe the conference as a cross-disciplinary series of programs addressing social innovation and new ways to make the world a better place.  The secret sauce lies in a healthy combination of passion, creativity, and entrepreneurship to shift the way things are done – thereby changing individuals, industries, and ultimately the world.  An open exchange of ideas across industries and society is necessary to produce lasting, sustainable, meaningful change. “The Feast” brings together the world’s leading creative entrepreneurs, revolutionaries, radicals, doers and thinkers to inspire more action, share best practices, and create valuable connections that will change the world.

We are so glad to join so many passionate souls that include:  Naveen Selvadurai (Foursquare), Scott Belsky (Behance), Tony Wagner (Harvard), Rachel Botsman (Author of “Whats Mine Is Yours”), Robbie Vitrano (NakedPizza), Adam Braun (Pencils of Promise), Bob McKinnon (YellowBrickRoad), Shelby Clarke (RelayRides) and more.

We are so looking forward to operating a “Book Swap” for all the attendees this afternoon.  Everyone has been asked to bring a book that has inspired them.  The Swap.com team will then facilitate a book swap among the attendees.  It will be interesting to see what books become part of this swap.

Innovation will give us the opportunity to move the world forward.  Collaboration will enhance and hone innovative ideas.  So great to be part of this group.  Changing the world is a big aspiration.  It is why we do what we do.  Best to all who will be attending The Feast today and tomorrow.  For eveyone else check out The Feast LiveStream.
