Livingston Taylor Concert For Lincoln’s Codman Farm
Livingston Taylor is a singer songwriter who is a member of the famous Taylor musical family. I first got introduced to Livingston at one of his concerts back in 1981. Since then I have attended a number of his concerts in many places across New England. Livingston’s musical style is surely close to that of his brother James, but he is also a unique entertainer in his own right.
On July 3, Livingston comes to Lincoln to perform in a concert to benefit Codman Community Farm. The concert will start at 8:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the Codman web site.
Codman Community is a non-profit created in 1973 to preserve and give continuity to the longstanding tradition of farming in Lincoln. The Codman property has supported farming for over 200 years. The mission for Codman is to teach and advance agricultural practices, operation of the farm, produce locally grown products for sale to the community, advocate for sustainable living and maintain the rural beauty of the farm and surrounding hay fields.
This is surely going to be a great night for a great cause.
Here is a clip from YouTube of Livingston performing a song he wrote many years ago titled “Good Friends.” This song was written in honor of his brother Alex.
