It’s Bay State Bike Week
Unlike Bike Week in NH that occurs every June when thousands of motorcycling folks convene in the Lakes Region, this is Bay State Bike Week in Massachusetts and we are celebrating “pedaling power.”
May 17th to 21st has been declared Bay State Bike Week, a week when Massachusetts celebrates bicycle transportation. This year, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) and the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike) have collaborated to make Bay State Bike Week an exciting statewide happening, with events scheduled throughout Massachusetts. We are all excited about promoting biking as a mode of transportation:
-it’s Safe
-it’s Economical
-it’s Healthy
-it’s Environmentally-Friendly
-it’s Fun!
I have really enjoyed getting back to cycling in the last couple of years. I have a hard time keeping up with my hard charging wife on the bike…but it is a great workout. Happy to report that our family has a new cyclist with my daughter mastering the two wheeler last weekend. Bicycling is a great way to move from place to place.
Three cheers for Bay State Bike Week!

Hey Jeff, I was trolling Google and found your site and have to comment because I am obsessed with cycling too.
Bike week, bike to work, bike everything is great.
As part of my travels after NM, my wife I rode 4000 km from Vancouver to Tijuana. Only 8 flat tires.
Good for you and your family, have a great summer!
