Amazing Stats From Apple

Yesterday Steve Jobs talked about the “i-universe” that includes the new iPad, iPhone, iPod, iTunes and now iAds.  Apple is on a roll.  These stats are amazing.

—On Saturday, 300,000 iPads were sold. As of yesterday, 450,000 were sold.

—4 billion apps have been downloaded from the App store, and there’s 185,000 apps in the store. There’s 3,500 iPad apps.

—250,000 iBooks were downloaded on the first day, now it’s over 600,000.

—50 million iPhones sold, and 85 million iPhone and iPod touches have been sold altogether.

A stat referenced in Jobs presentation that I found very noteworthy is that Apple will have over 1 Billion impressions/day through the iTunes/iPhone/iPad…all supported with rich user data.  This is an enormous opportunity for the transformed Quattro Wireless that is now owned/operated by Apple and is the cornerstone of iAds.  Jobs challenged that it will lead in mobile advertising…not Google.  Fighting words from the leader of the “i-Movement.”

Go Apple go!
