SXSW Social Media Keys To Saving
SXSW has been the place for social media to come onto the world stage over the last few years. This year a host of cool socially oriented companies, leading bloggers and Twitteristas are spreading the word about what is hot.
Today the social media keys to saving are:
1. Swapping – great way to turn your old stuff into newer things. Swaptree is the leading swapping site and offers a great solution to swapping across many categories like Books, CDs, DVDs and Video Games.
2. Search For Deals – several options beyond Google, Yahoo and Bing…like CheapTweet and RetailMeNot.
3. Galvanize A Group – leverage groups on Facebook, Twitter and GroupOn and LivingSocial to aggregate demand to drive better prices.
4. Play ‘Price Is Right’ – several sites allow you to play the famous game that include Kayak and ShopStyle.com.
5. Just Ask – CraigsList has millions of items listed for sale, sometimes hard to navigate but lots to ask for.
Very timely in this new era of economic frugality. It is cool to save now. Thanks SXSW.
