This year Spy had thousands of entries pour in from all over the world with the hope of winning one  lucky spot at Spy’s 7th Annual Boot Camp.  The winner would go to San Diego for the week long event to surf, wakeboard and ride motocross with Spy’s elite athletes, attend X  Games  15, party and hang with the Spy team.  The contest required entrants to tell Spy why they should be chosen  to attend our 7th Annual Boot Camp and Spy would pick the best.

“Boot Camp gives our Spy action sports enthusiasts’ unprecedented access to meet, befriend and participate in their favorite sports with Spy’s roster of world-class professional athletes. They will leave with the most memorable experiences from Spy Boot Camp,” said Fran Richards, Spy Optic Vice President of Marketing.

This years pick is one of the most enthusiastic action sports guys that I know…my cousin John Bennett, of Manchester, New Hampshire.  The entry that got Spy’s attention for the jackpot was this little diddy by John:

“I can’t hang with the pros on water, land or in the air but I want  to  prove that I can hang with

them in the bar, on the bar floor and  the morning after!  I can’t rip like the big boys, but let me!”

John is in San Diego right now ripping with the big booys – look forward to seeing him on ESPN at the X Games!
