Venture Beat reported on a the expansion of an alliance between NameMedia and Loud3r. At NameMedia we are deploying a segmented strategy for developing our domains into media properties. These segments include Direct Search, eCommerce, Social Media and Niche Media. We own nearly one million domains so we have lots of real estate to develop. Segmentation has allowed us a way to organize and prioritize development in a way that we feel best matches the domain to the most appropriate type of site. We then deploy a range of technologies for publishing and a more targeted approach to monetization methods. The use of technology combined with human curation for the creation of sites is the rage today. We have been doing this for many years already though we are getting better and better all the time. Some cool examples of newly developed sites that are deploying NameMedia/Loud3r are Artist.Com and Landscaping.Com.
