iPhone vs Pre…Its About The Apps
What a week in the smart phone market.
The Palm Pre on sale Saturday and the excitement was iPhone-like. Functionality looked great. Nothing revolutionary but a great looking smart phone. One little problem…only nineteen applications though. What?
The new iPhones were announced yesterday at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Some new functionality like video, more storage and then more applications. Apple is making a great smart phone better.
The big difference here is that Apple features thousands of apps and has enabled over 1 billion apps to be downloaded from their App Store. There are people buying iPhones now and using apps that have never used PC’s. Smart Phones are more than phones…they are computers.
Is Apple’s lead in Apps insurmountable over the Google Android and Palm Pre?
