Happy To Join TechStars Boston
I am happy to join forces with Tech Stars in Boston and join their distinguished list of Mentors.
Tech Stars was founded out in Boulder, Colorado, a few years back to seed a number of ventures in the summer months. Tech Stars is mentor-driven and attracted season entrepreneurs, investors and technologists to help these start up ventures. Earlier this year Tech Stars announced they would open up shop in Boston. The Tech Stars Boston program will be led by experienced entrepreneur Shawn Broderick. Nine cool ventures have been selected for Summer 2009.
I say Bravo to Brad Feld, David Cohen, Bill Warner, Bijan Sabat and Shawn Broderick for committing Tech Stars to Boston. All of these guys have a connection to this region through education, entrepreneurship and investing. Despite the pullout of YCombinator and news today that Greylock is moving to Silicon Valley…there is great talent and resource in the Boston market.
Here we go Boston Tech Stars!

This is great news Jeff. I’m glad to hear TechStars is now in Boston and you will be mentoring. I was disappointed when I read about Greylock this week.

We have great things going on here Dan. TechStars is a cool concept. MITX is great. A community is forming to help bring funding, entrepreneurs and the academic institutions together. The future is bright here for those who are committed…no time for those who feel grass is greener elsewhere! Thanks for the comment. Check out all the great events for New England Innovation Month in June.
