It was just eight months ago on one of the innaugural posts on Jeff Bennett Blog that I informed you of a fire at our beloved Verrill Farm.  The Verrill’s endeavored to work through this disaster.  The community poured out in support as well.  Despite not having a kitchen or farm stand the “show went on.” It was a long Winter in the Northeast and it was cold selling vegetables and food in the tents, trailers and temporary stand.  This fortitude was wonderful to see as the world we all know was changing rapidly with the economic meltdown.

The Verrill’s have kept us all informed through their blog.  You can see the illustration of the new farmstand at their blog right now.   You can also track things for Verrill Farm at their Twitter page, sign up to follow them now.  Just like the Verrill’s were ahead of their time looking at land conservation…they are very contemporary in their use of social media.

Now Spring is upon us and things are looking bright.  Construction has started on the new farm stand.  A full schedule is in process for the full spring.  Viva Verrill Farm.
