Pandora Internet Radio Is Cool

I have tried all sorts of Internet radios over the last several years.  Never had one grab me or monopolize my interest.

At the suggestion of a “tweet” on Twitter that said:  “With Pandora why does anyone download music to their iPhone…”  I got to thinking that maybe this is for me.

Internet radio is surely not just when you are at your PC.  My iPhone is a PC.  The iPhone actually has a Pandora Application too.  There is even a Pandora app for the Blackberry.

So I can be at the office listening to Pandora.  Switch to my iPhone when I leave and all my custom stations are the same.  I can even pick up where I left off listening to my favorite genre or artist.

I have created some new channels and shared with my friends and received some of their custom channels as well.

I have alot of music on my iPhone from iTunes.  But based on the Twitter suggestion I just picked up a big library of tunes that I do not own on Pandora.  Do not fret Apple, I can seamlessly link from Pandora to buy tunes that I like on iTunes…which I have done.

Pandora claims to based on be based on what they call the Music Genome Project, a sophisticated taxonomy of musical information that they have been working on for over eight years.  Management of the whole music universe is a challenge especially when there are new releases happening daily.  Pandora spans new releases all the way back to the Renaissance and Classical music.

Pretty cool indeed, Pandora Internet Radios is for sure a JeffBennett.Org “Cool Site.”
