Celtics Pride
The Boston Celtics open the NBA Playoffs on Saturday looking to defend their 17th Championship. The road number
18 got a little bumpy late yestereday as we learned that Kevin Garnet is unlike to play in the postseason due to an injury. It will be tough to win the Championship without KG.
We also learned that Danny Ainge, the architect of the current Celtics team is in the hospital after suffering a mild heart attack. Our thoughts go out to Danny as he recovers.
Great to see the “Celtics Pride” sign back in Waltham along the way to the Celtics Training Facility. This sign appeared last season as the Celtics entered the playoffs. Last year it was complemented with a big “17″ sign…which has been replaced by an equally large “18″ sign. Let’s hope the Celtics come together to make a long run at their eigtheenth championship.

Can the Celtics make a serious run for the NBA championship? After their game with the Pistons I might say, why not! However, after their performance against the Grizzlies and the Cavaliers, not so sure. Seems to be that there is an even cut on opinions between possible and unlikely. What do you think?

I hope that the Celtics can mend their bumps/bruises and will be rested to make a run. It wont be easy as they have several formidable opponents to beat in the East and probably the Lakers waiting in the Finals. It will be interesting. I am rooting for them all the way.

We shall see. I would order your purple championship belt just yet. I think this series is far from over.
