Our Craftster site is the coolest place on the web for indie crafts.  The indie and (do-it-yourself) movements are really advancing these days.

Crafting is big business.  The Craft and Hobby Association reported that in 2007, craft sales in 39 categories reached nearly $32 billion, and nearly 57 percent of U.S. households engage in crafting.  You can bet that when the 2008 data is tallied that this industry will have expanded as there is much more activity coming from the indie and diy movements of crafting in this economic downturn.  Some people have more time.  Others are looking for creative outlets.  Many are looking to save money and make their own things. Entrepreneur ran a great article about this in their current issue and we are proud to have Craftster featured.
