Zappos and Obama Top Social Media Week Survey
The inaugural Social Media Week in New York seems like it was a success last week. There were several panels and events. In addition there were several complementary social media events going on during the week in New York that included: SocComm (Social Communications Summit), Community Unconference East, O’Reilly’s Tools of Change for Publishing Conference, The Shorty Awards, NY Twestival and Social Media Breakfast.
Abrams Research (as in Dan Abrams the TV guy) got involved generating several surveys of those participating in Social Media Week. There is some compelling information that we will blog about going forward. The one survey that I found particularly interesting was a question focused on which companies/groups have conducted the best use of social media in their initiatives. No surprise that two groups we have been watching closely here at JeffBennett.Org lead the survey list: Zappos andthe Obama Presidential Campaign. The full list includes:
1. Zappos (online shopping site)
2. Obama (campaign and presidency)
3. CNN
4. Comcast (“Comcast Cares”)
5. Jetblue
6. Dell
7. Burger King
8. NPR
9. New York Times
10. Ford
You can see other information from the Abrams Reasearch of Social Media here.
