The Wii Is Moving Into The White House

President-elect Obama is a Blackberry addict. This has commanded lots of news during the campaign and transition. I understand the security issues but once you are hooked on being plugged in and connected it is very hard to revert back. I for one hope that the President-elect is not forced to change this habit. He needs to be connected. If we can’t get that Blackberry secure perhaps one of the other smartphones can…I can see Mr. Obama with an iPhone (it is better and more functional).

What has not commanded as much of the news cycle, but is also a sign of the times, is that the Obama’s will bring their Nintendo Wii to the White House. Like all of us who have purchased the Nintendo Wii, we did this for the kids. But it is a family entertainment center as well and apparently Mr. Obama is using it. It is 2009 afterall and the most socially networked and Internet-saavy candidate turned President will no doubt bring many new forms of entertainment and communication into the White House. It will be interesting to see if the Obama’s bowl on Wii or in the White House bowling alley.

When Barack Obama takes office on January 20th, he’ll not only be the most powerful man in the world, but also the most powerful gamer.
