Super Bowl Ads And Social Media

The Super Bowl is one of “the” events for the year for all of us.  Weekend festivities from office pools, to Sunday brunches to neighborhood parties are the rage for the diehard football fan and everyone else who gets swept up.

One of the interesting things that has developed in the last ten years is the football game is complemented by a top notch half time concert and of course the  competition for the best or most memorable ads.  Half time and the ads have become almost as important as the game.  This has made the Super Bowl such and entertainment event.

There is the usual chatter, ad previews and press activity about the ads already in full swing.  I for one am very interested to see how many of the ads are traditional and how many invoke some element of social media.  It will be very interesting to track this.  More on this theme in the days ahead.
